What is a Dhol? The Dhol is a north Indian indigenous drum made from a large wooden shell. It combines elements of classic Indian music with distinct world music rhythms, creating a unique and compelling sound.  

Why? If you either have a love for percussion, wondered if you could play any/any instrument, or have been captivated by the sound of it and thought, "how do I go about learning Dhol?" Learn to play Dhol might just be your calling!

1) Improves coordination and motor skills: Playing the dhol requires and develops fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Beginners classes commence on November 23, 2025 at Saltwater Community Centre, Point Cook.
