Community Event with Mataio (Matt) Brown

Join us for an Inspiring and Transformative Event with Keynote Speaker Mataio (Matt) Brown – proudly delivered with Wyndham City, Relationship Matters, Better Place Australia & Victoria University.

Matt is a global advocate, author, TEDx speaker, and co-founder of She Is Not Your Rehab. He is dedicated to ending family violence, promoting mental health, and redefining masculinity. With decades of experience in barbershops, men’s groups, and prison programs, Matt champions community-driven healing and shared responsibility.

In his keynote, Matt will share strategies to address family violence and trauma, focusing on community and cultural change to break cycles. He encourages men to overcome shame, take responsibility, and foster respectful relationships - inspiring empathy, safety, and wellbeing for all.

In 2025, Respect Victoria and Safe and Equal are collaborating to support local community engagement as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Wyndham City has received funding through Respect Victoria’s 16 Days of Activism grassroots initiative to further this important cause.
