Wyndham City is proud to announce Jack Nguzo as the One Wyndham recipient for September.

Jack is a passionate youth advocate and encourages young people to share their stories and feel heard, using his voice to inspire other young people to speak up about mental health, equality and identity.

Volunteering regularly with The Salvation Army and helping vulnerable people, Jack makes sure everyone feels included using his creativity and energy to help build a cohesive community.

Jack is a Student Ambassador for the Speak For Better program, a member of the Australian Council for Student Voice, and the creator of speakupwithjack, a platform that raises awareness and empowers young people.

Jack received both the Spirit of Anzac Prize for leadership and resilience and a scholarship to play for the Brimbank Stallions soccer team. He uses sport to connect and inspire other young people. He is also proudly involved in the DR Congo African community in Victoria and helps represent and support African Australian youth, encouraging cultural pride and unity.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said “Jack is an inspiring and a positive role model;  encouraging inclusion, fostering a sense of community and showing care for vulnerable people.”

“Wyndham City appreciates the contribution Jack makes to Wyndham through his volunteering and youth advocacy for young people.”
