Wyndham City Council is proud to partner with IPC Health to deliver free health checks at local community centres in recognition of International Stroke Day on Wednesday 29 October.

Registered nurses will be on site to explain the results and offer friendly, professional health advice, helping residents better understand their risk factors for conditions such as stroke, heart disease, and diabetes.

No bookings are required; Wyndham residents are encouraged to just drop in and access the following services.

  • Health checks with a nurse - Blood pressures, blood glucose levels
  • Diabetes health check with a Diabetes Educator
  • Information around the National Lung Cancer Screening test
  • Living Well clinician available to discuss smoking cessation program

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw said the initiative supports Council’s commitment to building a healthier, more informed community.

“We know that prevention is key when it comes to serious health conditions like stroke. By offering these free checks locally, we’re making it easier for our community to take a proactive approach to their health,” said Cr Shaw.

“Wyndham City encourages all residents, especially those who may not have seen a GP recently to take advantage of this opportunity for a free, fast, and potentially life-saving health screening.”
