Werribee City Centre will be jam packed full of fun this summer, with outdoor twilight movie nights, a pop-up traffic park where kids can build their cycling skills and Rhyme Time at The Pool.

It’s a great chance to make the most of the warmer weather with a fabulous line up of outdoor activities during the school holidays.

Wyndham City’s Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said: “We welcome families to come along and join in the fun in Werribee City Centre with a range of free, family-friendly programs.”

“Wyndham City will a host a series of free outdoor movie nights: Movies in the Park, with monthly screenings from 15 November until 13 February in Kelly Park, Watton St Werribee.”

“Bring a rug and a picnic or grab dinner to go from one of Werribee City Centre’s great dining options and settle in for family-friendly favourites on the big screen. Pre-show entertainment will create a festival atmosphere perfect for warm summer evenings.

”The Pop-Up Traffic Park is an exciting new free initiative that will run from 10 - 18 January in Kelly Park, Werribee and features a temporary traffic school style course for children featuring signage, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings and line marking to give children a fun opportunity to ride their bike in a mini Werribee City Centre,” said Mayor Cr Shaw.

“It’s the perfect blend of education and play — helping children build confidence and awareness while having a great time outdoors. There will also be learn to ride sessions for both children and adults to develop bike riding skills, as well as bike mechanics and family friendly performers ensuring the whole family can enjoy a fun active day out.”

“Rhyme Time at The Werribee Pool suited for children aged 1 to 5 years, is a fun interactive activity that will develop children’s language skills, body awareness, motor skills and imagination through rhymes, music and books especially on a warm summer day by the Pool! After the session, sign up for a free library membership, browse, borrow and return books from our Pop-Up Library Van.”

All events are free and designed to be inclusive and offer locals and visitors a chance to rediscover what makes Werribee such a vibrant and family-friendly destination.
