Wyndham City’s free Australia Day program returns on Monday 26 January 2026, at a fresh new location in the heart of Point Cook.

The free, family-friendly event will feature a packed program of live entertainment, sports activities, roving performers and fun for the kids from 11am to 3pm at Dunnings Road Reserve, Point Cook.

This year’s location builds on past Australia Day events in Tarneit, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Werribee South as we continue to expand access and opportunities for community participation.

This year’s stage program will feature the Australian Crawl Tribute Band and the Big City Beat Band, performing beloved Australian classics and crowd favourites along with interactive performances from Woody’s World and high energy rhythms, soul and funk with Afro-Fusion presented by Music Valley.

In addition to the on-stage performances, families can enjoy a range of community sports activities with local clubs and roving performers including Gemma Giraffe, Kara Koala, Dr Hubble’s giant bubbles, Corey Craze’s circus tricks and the Garden Party.

On the lawn, there will be free craft and play zones for kids to enjoy, with free activities including nature crafts, giant outdoor games and face painting on offer.

Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food options with onsite food trucks, local favourites in nearby Point Cook Town Centre, or pack their own picnic while taking in the free live entertainment.

The Australia Day in Wyndham program includes the presentation of the 2026 Wyndham Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards – recognising the outstanding service of community members who make Wyndham a better place.

The Australia Day in Wyndham program is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
