Wyndham Cultural Centre has the September school holidays covered with a brand-new Children’s festival filled with an amazing array of children’s entertainment and shows to suit all ages from the very young to teenagers in the recently refreshed venue space.

Fam Bam LIVE, the brand-new exciting children’s festival runs from Thursday 11 September to Saturday 4 October. 

Wyndham City’s Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said: “The spring school holidays will bring the whole venue alive with theatre, magic, dance, comedy, music and hands on workshops – all specially designed just for kids (and their grown-ups)”. 

“Fam Bam LIVE will feature an incredible line up of affordable children’s shows in the heart of Werribee and will be a treat for children and parents alike.”

The festival will open with the popular, The Gruffalo’s Child on Thursday 11 September, with two performances, one at 12pm and another at 6pm.

International Star, Mario the Maker Magician, fresh off a sold-out Off-Broadway tour and recently featured on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon, is bringing his one-of a kind high energy show that will mesmerise children on Sunday 14 September from 3pm to 4pm.

IMAGINE LIVE, a magical celebration of creativity and puppetry, will bring the pages of the book Imagine to life on Tuesday 16 September at 12pm and 6pm for a special PJ Party.

The Australian Ballet School Holiday program, presented by The Australian Ballet’s Education and Outreach program, is running two sessions for children to explore the world of dance through warm-ups, dance exercises and choreographic games with no dance experience required on Monday 22, Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 September at 10.30am for grade 3-4 and grade 5-6.

Play Date the ultimate dance party perfect for children aged 2 to 7, will take the little ones on a colourful musical adventure filled with songs about being yourself and using your imagination on Monday 29 September at 10.30am and 1pm.

110% Ready presented by The Listies on Wednesday 1 October at 10.30am and 1pm is a fun show about the joys of the average morning routine and the impossibility of getting out of the house on time and features a load of fun family laughs.

For the little musicians under 5 years, the Jams for Juniors Workshop: Swan Lake, presented by Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on Thursday 2 October at 10am and 11.15am will bring the magic of music and play together for thirty minutes. 

For tweens, Reputation – The Ultimate Taylor Shift Show on Friday 3 October at 7.30pm will have the audience signing along to many well-known favourites. This five-piece band brilliantly showcases country music’s fastest rising star to the global pop sensation we know today with 38 massive hits. 

Fritz, the charming and loveable magician’s rabbit will captivate children 3 and above with a fifty-minute roller coaster ride of mesmerising magical tricks to laugh out loud hilarious entertainment for the whole family on Saturday 4 October.
