In 2020, Council endorsed a $5million WYNLocal Economic Support Package to address the impacts of COVID-19 on the business community. There were three main components to the package:
- $1.5million Small Business Support Program – now concluded
- Business Rates & Charges Relief:
- Environmental Health Premises Permit Renewal Fees
Wyndham City is providing a 50% discount on permit renewal fees for environmental health premises (includes food and beauty premises) until 28 February 2021.
Businesses do not need to apply as this will occur automatically. New applicants will be required to pay the full annual fee.
- Footpath Trading Permit Fees
Footpath Trading Permit Fees will be waived until 31 August 2021. Businesses in shopping strips, town centres and activity centres who are already using footpath trading to full capacity, may also apply for a Temporary Commercial Use of Outdoor Space Permit. Find out more about options for extending Outdoor Dining and Trading in Wyndham.
- Permit Fees for Personal Training and Group Training
Permit fees for both Personal Training and Group Training will be waived until 31 December 2020. You can apply for a permit here.
In other support measures, Wyndham City has provided relief for sporting club hire and licensing, rent relief for commercial operators occupying Council owned buildings and waived some parking fees in the Werribee City Centre.
