Ever noticed a wetland in your neighbourhood and wondered why it was there? Would you like to understand how wetlands work to protect the environment and learn about the plants and animals that live there?
The Werribee River Association will be celebrating World Wetlands Day (WWD) 2019 with a wetland education session. Activities will include:
- A guided walk by to learn what plants and animals live in and around your local wetland
- Learning how to test water quality and understanding its importance
- Sampling for waterbugs and learning some basic identification skills
Please bring a hat, sunscreen and wear enclosed footwear
