Over 5000 cheese lovers flocked to Werribee Park for the Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival to discover old and new cheese favourites, picnic with friends and enjoy the entertainment on offer.
A range of cheesemakers and mongers sampled and sold every cheese dish that could be imagined, from hot raclette, to cheesy gnocchi and pizza, to the ultimate grilled cheese toasty to stretchy melty arancini, to grilled haloumi to bocconcini skewers right through to blue cheese cannoli and parmesan ice cream!
Also on offer was a delicious array of artisan produce and craft beers, ciders, wines and spirits.
Chefs Daniel Wilson, Shannon Martinez and Emma Dean all cooked delicious dishes highlighting cheese to an avid audience and makers and mongers showed their skills in mozzarella stretching and cheese and wine matching. The crowd was entertained by all manner of tunes from the laid back jazz of Ashleigh Waston and The Bluetone Assembly through to calypso party tracks from Mighty Duke and the Lords.
An enjoyable and indulgent day was enjoyed by all.
