Don’t miss the Christmas Makers Market held in the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park, featuring 25 local artisans selling handmade gifts, homewares and more. Retailers will also have special offers and customer experiences across the weekend, so it’s a great time to support local and cross some of that Christmas shopping off your list.

Don’t miss:

  • Explore 25 local artisan stalls at the Christmas Makers Market in the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park
  • Santa will be visiting Station Place both Saturday and Sunday between 10am – 3pm
  • Make some memories and take some happy snaps by stepping inside a snowglobe in Station Place on Saturday or one of the other selfie spots in the Piazza.
  • Tonia T Boutique is having a Fashion Parade, 11am on Sunday.  Get inspired for the festive season!
  • From 12pm Sunday, take the family down to Chirnside Park for the Melbourne Renegades Family day. There’ll be kids activities, a match and more.
  • Launching this weekend, take a River Whispers - Stories and Sounds tour along the Werribee River. It’s free, however bookings are essential.
  • Bring the kids to get their face painted. There will be three stations – Wyndham Cultural Centre Forecourt and along Watton Street.
  • It’s not Christmas, without Carollers!  Catch a performance at the Piazza
  • Stilt walkers, buskers, roving performers,  and more will make the street come alive with festive cheer

When and where can I see Santa?

Santa will be at Station Place 10am – 3pm, Saturday and Sunday along with some other roving friends.  Santa will need to take some breaks so if you arrive and he is not there just wait and he will be sure to return in the timeframe.

Where is the FREE face painting?

Face painting will be located in both Station Place, out the front of a couple of the retailers and at the forecourt of the Cultural Centre from 11am- 3pm both days.

Where is the Christmas Makers Market?

The Christmas Makers Market will be held in the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park on both Saturday 10 December and Sunday 11 December between 10am – 3pm.

Will there be any road closures?

No, there will be no road closures however, part of the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park will be closed to accommodate the Christmas Makers Market.

Will there be food available?

Of course!  Werribee City Centre is home to buzzing cafes and restaurants, with so much variety on offer. This is the day to extend your visit in Werribee City Centre and enjoy these offerings while you catch some friendly characters and entertainment along the way.

Whether grabbing a quick bite at a café, settling in for a long lunch at a restaurant or grabbing a panini and cannoli on the go there is something for everyone.

Are there toilets onsite?

Yes, there are public toilets located in the Wyndham Cultural Centre, on the corner of Watton Street and Bridge Street, Werribee  Train Station and Kelly Park.

What happens if it rains?

Weather will be monitored in the lead up to the event.  If there is extreme weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, messaging will be placed on the Wyndham City website www.wyndham.vic.gov.au  the Wyndham City Facebook page to alert attendees that elements may be moved to different locations.

Getting There and Parking

Live or work locally? Enjoy the summer weather and walk or ride to the city centre.  Don’t forget Public Transport is also located nearby with the Train Station and Bus Stop located in the heart of the city centre.

PARKING

Hunter Car Park – Three hours FREE parking is now available at the undercover car park at Holiday Inn. To park there longer is just a small fee of $5. Find out more here.

West End Car Park - FREE all-day parking is available in the West End Car Park, entry via Werribee St/Synnot St.

Cultural Centre Car Park – FREE 3 hour car park spaces are available at the Wyndham Cultural Centre car park with access from Synnot St ONLY.  The Watton Street entrance will be closed for the Christmas Makers Market.

Riverbend Car Park – FREE three hour parking is available in the Riverbend car park on Comben Drive.

Watton Street - There is also two hour parking along Watton Street.

Note that time limits do not apply after 5.30pm.

Conditions of Entry

Attendees must comply with the Conditions of Entry below so that everyone can enjoy Christmas in Werribee City Centre in safety and comfort.

COVID-19

Attendees must comply with all current Victorian Government COVID-19 restrictions.

Photography/Filming

Live streaming or broadcasting of any element of Christmas in Werribee City Centreis not permitted.  Commercial photography is not permitted without prior permission from Council.

Children

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

Pets and animals

Dogs are permitted provided that they are on a lead and supervised by their owner at all times.  Owners must pick up after their dogs.  All other pets and animals are not permitted.

Advertising and the sale or hire of goods

Attendees are not permitted to sell or offer for sale or hire any items, nor to distribute handbills, pamphlets, notices or other advertising materials, without prior permission from Council.

Anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour is prohibited. Christmas in Werribee City Centreis intended to be family friendly, safe and comfortable for all attendees. Council requires that attendees behave in a safe, responsible and courteous manner at all times.

Free activities

Some of the free activities offered at Christmas in Werribee City Centreare run by local businesses and organisations.  Council makes no guarantee about an activity’s quality or suitability for attendees.  Attendees are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for them and/or their children to participate in.

Be SunSmart

It is recommended that attendees take proper SunSmart precautions at Christmas in Werribee City Centre including using sunscreen, wearing a hat and staying hydrated.

Property

Attendees are responsible for all personal property taken to Christmas in Werribee City Centre and must not leave their property unattended.  Council reserves the right to remove any property left unattended at Christmas in Werribee City Centre.

Consent in relation to images and photographs

By attending Christmas in Werribee City Centre, attendees consent to the capturing and publishing of their image in authorised promotional photos and videos in whatever format and forum Council chooses.

Directions

Attendees must follow any reasonable direction given by a Council officer, authorised event security personnel or Police.

Right to refuse entry

Council reserves the right to refuse entry to those who do not comply with these Conditions of Entry.

Cancellation and/or modification of event

Council reserves the right to cancel and/or modify Christmas in Werribee City Centre.  Cancellations and modifications will be advised via Council’s website (www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/whats-on/celebrate-christmas-werribee-city-centre) and the Wyndham City Facebook page (www.facebook.com/wyndhamcitycouncil).

Failure to Comply with Conditions of Entry

Failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry may result in an attendee being removed from Christmas in Werribee City Centre and refused re-entry and/or entry to future Council events.

Changes to these conditions

Council reserves the right to change these Conditions of Entry at any time.
