State Rose & Garden Show

Wyndham City’s free State Rose & Garden Show was held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November at the Victoria State Rose Garden in Werribee. The weather was magnificent with thousands of visitors flocking to enjoy all that was on offer in the beautiful gardens.

The Gardeners’ Dome featured gardening experts including The Fermented Mumma, Vasili, Botanicah Melbourne, The Plant Collector and more and was hosted by the delightful Chloe Thomson. Crowd favourite, aerial artists SWAY entertained people from above in the heart of the garden and attendees were thrilled by the experience.

The All Green Workshop & Café space was buzzing with activity, with hands on interactive workshops proving to be popular, from flower crown and posy making, beekeeping and insect hotel making to kokedama and terrarium making classes and many more throughout the weekend. The Green Hub did not disappoint providing workshops and education about sustainable living and gardening practices.

Furals also facilitated painting workshops over the weekend, on the Saturday attendees painted their very own poppy to contribute to the sea of poppies on display on the lawn or take home with them.

The inaugural Student Garden Gallery was a huge success with three local Wyndham City schools participating; P-9 College, Stella Maris Catholic Primary School & River Walk Primary School who all created and exhibited their upcycled garden art at the event.

The CWA – Point Cook Branch served up their delicious homemade scones with jam and cream and other scrumptious baked goods, together with many other local stalls and exhibitors.
