Rates due dates
Each financial year all property owners will receive a notice advising them of their rate obligations for the current financial year. Rates are payable by instalments and are due as follows each financial year:
- 1st Instalment: 30 September
- 2nd Instalment: 30 November
- 3rd Instalment: 28 February
- 4th Instalment: 31 May
Wyndham does not provide a separate payment in full option or date.
Late payments will be charged interest.
If you are having difficulty paying by the due date you can contact us by phone on (03) 9742 0777 or email email@example.com to arrange a payment plan.
Contact Wyndham City at the earliest moment you experience difficulty in paying your rates and charges. A payment plan can be entered into on a temporary or regular basis. You may also qualify for assistance under Wyndham City’s Financial Hardship Policy.

Incorrect amount on Rate Notice
If you believe the amount shown as owing on the property is incorrect:
Please ensure you bring any documentation such as receipt or copy of bank statement that may support your claim that the monies owing is incorrect.
Refund Request For Overpayment of Rates
You can request a refund for a Rates overpayment / incorrect payment or transfer of a payment on an incorrect property.
Refunds will only be processed if the account is in credit, alternatively you may wish to leave the overpayment and have this deducted from your next rates payment.
Processing a refund request may take up to 14 calendar days from the date council receives a completed application.
