By 2041 it is expected that Wyndham's population will increase by over 90%. This means there will be nearly 490,000 people living in Wyndham. To plan for this major growth and its impact on services and infrastructure, Council is required to transact in land.

A draft policy has been developed to assist Council's decision making regarding land transactions which include land acquisition, re-purposing and sale.

The draft Property Portfolio Policy supports the processes for property proposals, and provides clarity for informed decision making.

This policy also aims to help to build community understanding of Council’s role as a property owner and confidence in the decisions making process.
