It is important to send the card back to school even if you do not consent for immunisation to be given.

Students in Year 7 at secondary school will be offered the following vaccinations:

  • HPV - Gardasil (Human Papillomavirus)
  • Boostrix (Adolescent Diphtheria, Tetanus & Pertussis)
  • Varilrix (Chickenpox)

Meningococcal W - Years 10, 11 & 12

On Wednesday 8 March 2017, the State Government announced they would fund a school based Meningococcal W vaccination program.   The vaccine is for years 10,11 & 12 students for this year only,  based on recommendations from national immunisation experts. This was in response to an increased prevalence of Meningococcal W disease in Australia.

Consent cards have been distributed to schools. If you haven't received one, please download from the Immunehero website and return to the school asap.

Please Note: The vaccine is also free to young people not in secondary school but of an equivalent age (age 15 - 19 years). This can be given at any of our council immunisation sessions.  Please see our Immunisation program for dates, venues and times.
