Wyndham Council has allocated funding to upgrade McLeans Rd, Old Melbourne Rd and Rothwell Rd in Little River. These are significant projects, and we expected the work to take place across a number of years, starting with Melbourne Rd.
When the design process started, it become apparent that the projects were extremely complex due to drainage issues as well as ensuring the cultural heritage of the area is respected.
As a result of the complex design and requirement for approvals from external agencies, the project has been delayed however the approval process is nearing completion.
Whilst we wait for the approval to commence works, we ask all motorists to drive according to the conditions and observe speed limits.
We will ensure residents are notified when we commence the next stage of the project.
