From learning how to run your own circus to discovering the joys of traditional Aboriginal weaving, Wyndham City Libraries has something for all kids to enjoy these school holidays.

For two weeks Wyndham’s five local libraries will run 13 different programs designed to make the school holidays an educational and fun time.

Wyndham City’s Learning City portfolio holder, Cr Josh Gilligan, said the Winter Holiday Escape program would be jam packed with fun activities.

“There will be arts and craft classes, movie nights, Lego building sessions, and games clubs to keep kids entertained these school holidays,” Cr Gilligan said.

“We will also be hosting circus skills classes, Aboriginal weaving and Aboriginal jewellery making workshops, and paper mosaics classes. You can even learn the basics of computer coding.”

“The days of libraries only offering books for people to borrow are well and truly behind us. Our local libraries are now places where people come together to learn new languages, meet friends or research their family history.”

“The possibilities are endless when it comes to what you can learn at your local library, and it’s no different with our Winer Holiday Escape program.”

“Not only will your kids be entertained, they are sure to leave with some new skills too, so be sure to book them into one or more sessions.”

The Winter Holiday Escape program will run from Monday 2nd July until Friday 13th July, 2018. Bookings are required for all sessions.
