Off-duty Police Officers and community volunteers run a disco on a monthly basis (second Friday of every month, except January) for Primary School aged children at the Point Cook Community Centre. The monthly disco runs from 7pm to 9:30pm with set-up from 6:30pm and clean-up until 10:30pm.

The program provides a chance for young children to mingle with Police Officers in a safe, drug and alcohol free environment, enabling children and adult supervisors to interact with Police Officers.

WynBay Blue Light also runs and funds an annual Leadership and Adventure Camp for Grade 5 and 6 students (50 kids) from six different schools in the area.

Volunteer Positions Available

We require supervisors to assist at our monthly discos and at our three day, two night camps. As part of the camps all accommodation and meals are paid for.

If volunteer supervisors are not sworn Police members, we do require that you have, or are willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
