Litter/rubbish on road or park requiring removal

Please use this category to report litter or rubbish on the road reserve or in a public park. Litter or rubbish on the road which is a traffic hazard, should be reported to (03) 9742 0777 immediately.

Abandoned vehicle

If a vehicle is unregistered, is burnt out or appears to be abandoned on public land, it may be towed away by Wyndham City and impounded. Public land could be:

  • road
  • naturestrip
  • reserve

When reporting an abandoned or burnt out vehicle you will need to provide us with the following information:

  • Vehicle Make (Eg. Holden, Ford)
  • Vehicle Model (Eg Commodore, Falcon)
  • Vehicle Registration Number
  • Vehicle Colour
  • If abandoned, the reason you think the vehicle is abandoned
  • If abandoned, how long you think the vehicle has been abandoned

Please provide any additional information that may assist us in locating the vehicle.

Trucks that are parked illegally are to be reported to Council directly on 9742 0777.

When reporting an illegally parked vehicle you will need to provide us with the following information:

  • Vehicle Make (Eg. Holden, Ford)

  • Vehicle Colour
  • The reason for reporting the vehicle

Bins for a newly constructed home

Bins for a newly constructed house

Use this request to order Garbage (Yellow lid) and Recycle (Blue lid) bins for a newly constructed house.

Green Waste (green lid) bins are an optional service.  Find out more about this service here

The property must be occupied before bins will be delivered.  Once you are in the house and the bins are ordered, the bins will be delivered to the nature strip within 2 working days.

House number must be displayed.  If no number is displayed, the delivery of the bins may be delayed.

Damaged Bins

Damaged garbage (yellow lid) bin

Bins are generally repaired/replaced within 2 working days after your scheduled collection. 

In submitting the request you will be asked for your Collection Date.  Please confirm this date using MyWyndham.

To allow for the repair of your damaged garbage (yellow lid) bin you will need to:

  • Ensure the bin is empty
  • Once your bin has been emptied on your scheduled collection day, please leave the empty, damaged bin on the nature strip.
  • The bin will be repaired/replaced within 2 working days – if this does not occur, please contact Council on 9742 0777.

If a bin is believed to be lost or stolen, a replacement can be arranged free of charge.

You will need to complete a Missing Bin Declaration form and return to Council before we can provide a replacement bin.

The best method in dealing with a neighbour causing a nuisance is to approach them with your issues and try and work together to resolve the problem. They may not be aware the smoke from their wood heater is causing a nuisance.

Sign requiring replacement or maintenance

Use this request to report a damaged or missing street name blades and traffic signs on all roads other than Ballan Road, Derrimut Road, Heaths Road, Princes Highway, Duncans Road, Point Cook Road, Old Geelong Road, Sayers Road (Hoppers Crossing), Fitzgerald Road, Dohertys Road and Boundary Road (Laverton North) and the Princes Freeway. Issues on these roads should be reported to VicRoads at www.vicroads.com.au.

Overgrown grass or weeds on a nature strip

Unsightly means a property with an overgrown front yard to at least 1 metre high and/or unkempt due to litter.

When reporting an unsightly property you will need to provide us with the following information:

  • The height of the grass/weeds
  • The percentage of the yard that has long grass/weeds
  • The type of litter is present
  • Whether the house is vacant
