Wyndham City will soon move 2,900 Friday bin collections in Werribee’s Harpley Estate and another area in Werribee to Thursday.

From 11 November 2021, households in Harpley Estate, Werribee and in the area bounded by the Princes Freeway, Werribee River, Synnot Street and College Road in Werribee (see maps below) will need to put their bins out for a Thursday morning collection rather than Friday.

It means residents in those areas should roll their bins out to their curb on the night of Wednesday, 10 November 2021, with trucks coming to empty them the following morning.

This change affects all three bin collections – garbage, recycling and green bins – as well as hard waste collection.

Friday is currently the busiest day for bin and hard waste collections. By moving some households collections to Thursday, will mean a more balanced schedule and improved service to residents.

The last Friday collection for these households will take place on Friday 5 November 2021.

Every household affected by the changes has been notified with a flyer and waste calendar which includes updated collection information.
