Wyndham City Council is proposing to name multiple new open spaces across the Wyndham Municipality.

Due to the volume of park naming items, Council have provided the most recent parks to be named in the table below.

As the naming authority for these open spaces within the municipality, Council is required to conduct the naming process and submit a naming proposal to name these new open spaces.

By naming the parks after the road it is addressed to or a road abutting the park Council are complying with Section Two: General Principles and under Section Four: Features in the Naming Rules of Places in Victoria 2016. These naming rules are the statutory requirements allowed for under the Geographic Place Names Act 1998.

For more information on the naming guidelines provided by the State Government, please go to visit State Government - The Name Rules or visit Council's Geographic Naming Policy 2017.

Any queries or feedback regarding the naming of these parks can be directed to the Governance Policy and Projects Advisor in writing via mail@wyndham.vic.gov.au or via post at 45 Princes Highway Werribee 3030 or on 1300 023 411 within 30 days of this notice.
