Storytimes and school holiday programs

The Children’s Department runs a range of storytimes and school holiday activities at both branches of the Library. All activities are free. Program timetables will be posted before the start of each holiday.

Pre School Storytime

A fun and special sharing time for both adults and children.

  • Sessions run for approximately 45 mins.
  • Free of charge to attend and no need to book.
  • Session content is repeated throughout the week.
  • Aimed at children aged 3-5 years but babies are most welcome.

CBD Library

Weds. & Thurs. 10:30 AM  

Rhyme Time

• For children aged 18-36 months
• Sessions include songs, stories and finger plays

Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge
The Victorian Premier's Reading Challenge is open to all Victorian students from Prep to Year 9 and will recommence at the end of January 2008. Wyndham Library Service will again be supporting this program by providing titles included in the challenge reading list on special display shelves at both branches. Inside a dog is a project of the Centre for Youth Literature. The site promotes young adult literature, highlighting Australian writers and their work, and includes the best of the international scene. We welcome the views of readers, including reviews, opinion, discussion, competition entries, and feedback.
