Land Management Rate Rebate Scheme

The Land Management Rate Rebate Scheme is designed to target the control of weeds and pest animals, to improve water quality and conservation and to encourage sustainable land and water management.

In 2008/2009, the rebate is 20% of the General Rate of eligible properties.  To be eligble, a property must be in Wyndham, attract the General Rate and of 2 hectares or greater in area.  Properties less than 2 hectares in area used for primary production are also eligible.

To obtain the rebate, an eligible land owner must satisfactorily complete, submit and implement a Council approved Dryland and/or Irrigated Property Management for each eligible property.  The scheme operates under the Land Management Policy.
