Showerhead Exchange Program

Installing water efficient showerheads is one of the easiest ways to save water, and reduce your water and energy bills.

Wyndham City, with the support of City West Water, is now running a free permanent Showerhead Exchange Program for all Wyndham residents.

Did you know that old style showerheads can use up to 20 litres, or two buckets of water, per minute, compared to 3-star water-efficient models, which use around nine litres per minute. That's a saving of up to 13,500 litres of water a year, not to mention the associated energy savings by using less hot water.

You can exchange your old showerhead for a new 3-star rated one at the following libraries during normal opening hours:

The Werribee CBD Library
Open Monday to Saturday
Wyndham Cultural Centre
177 Watton Street, Werribee

The Plaza Library
Open 7 days
Corner of Derrimut & Heaths Rd, Hoppers Crossing

Just bring along your old showerhead/s from home (you can exchange more than one showerhead) and one of your water bills. After filling out a simple form, you will receive a new water efficient showerhead in exchange for your old one, saving you money and water!

Thanks to City West Water, the Showerhead Exchange Program is run at no cost to residents.
