Wyndham's Greenhouse Emissions

Wyndham City Council is committed to achieving long term environmental sustainability.  This means taking steps to protect and enhance Wyndhams natural assets, as well as taking responsibility for the municipalitys broader environmental footprint, which includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Through the Cities for Climate Protection program, Council has put this commitment into action, adopting the following emission reduction goals:

• To reduce Councils own emissions by 10% below 2001 levels, by 2010, and
• To reduce per capita community emissions by 10% below 1996 levels, by 2010. 

This section provides information on the greenhouse gas emissions from both Wyndham City Councils operations and the Community of Wyndham as a whole (including the industrial and residential sectors).
