Litter

Dumping of litter in the muncipality is an offence.  Litter may be from a vehicle, dumped onto a public reserve, naturstrip or on a road.

Across the municipality, 13 signs will be installed, encouraging people to report illegal dumping, to secure their load of rubbish and warning people of the severe penalties which apply to people caught illegally dumping rubbish.

The signs will be posted on Wests Road, Leakes Road, Dohertys Road, Princes Highway, Old Geelong Road, Palmers Road, Sayers Road, Shanahans Road, Sewells Road and Hacketts Road.

The installation of the signs form part of Wyndham’s Litter Prevention Strategy, which aims to reduce litter and graffiti and protect the environment.

To report dumped litter please contact Wyndham City Council on 9742 0777 or go to the EPA Litter website.
