All dogs and cats must be registered once they reach the age of 3 months old. Once registered, dog and cat registrations must be renewed by 10th April each year.
All animals that are being registered for the FIRST TIME with Council must now be microchipped before they can be registered. Click here for more information on microchipping your animal.
Please notify Council in writing if your details or your animal's details have changed such as:
- your dog/cat is now sterilised
- your dog/cat is now deceased
- you know longer own the dog/cat
- you have changed your address/name
When you register your animal, Council automatically issues you with a registration tag which must be worn by your animal when it is outside your property.
If the tag is damaged a replacement tag can be obtained at no fee. If the tag is lost a fee is charged for a replacement tag.
