Wyndham District Anonymous Hotline

The Wyndham District Anonymous Hotline provides residents with a 24 hour service for reporting local safety issues.

The program enables residents to call a 24 hour phone number, 9742 9466, and report incidents of dangerous driving or other anti-social behaviour, such as disturbing the peace, graffiti, drug related activities and illegal trail bike riding.

People can choose to remain anonymous, or can leave their details so information can be used to secure a conviction. Data will be downloaded by Police every day and investigated.

To assist Police with their enquiries, residents are asked to outline the incident, where it happened and provide details about the alleged offenders, including a name and address if possible. Residents are also asked to report any information that will help identify offenders such as a description and registration of a vehicle, or a description of a person if possible.

The data recorded using the Anonymous Hotline will assist the Police and Council in monitoring trends across the City. Plans can then be developed to address the community’s safety concerns, whether they are preventative measures or education programs.
