Community safety is an identified priority for Wyndham’s local community. Safety forms one of the key areas addressed in both the Wyndham Council Plan and the Quality Community Plan (QCP) – a community identified vision for Wyndham’s future.
To ensure Wyndham remains a safe and welcoming place to live, Council in partnership with the Victoria Police and the Wyndham Local Community Safety Committee (WLCSC) has developed the Wyndham Community Safety Plan (2008-2010).
The Plan aims to identify local safety issues of concern to the community and provide a framework for further enhancing community safety. The development of a local action plan is also a requirement for the Police under Local Priority Policing.
The Wyndham Community Safety Plan (2008-2010) is both a strategic and practical document that will provide a framework for the Wyndham Local Community Safety Committee (WLCSC) activities relating to community safety over the next two years.
