Wyndham City Council Community Function Rooms are available for hire by not-for profit community groups and organisations where there is demonstrated community benefit. It may be necessary to limit events by organisations which are of community benefit to one per calendar year to ensure there is equity of usage among the groups.
These rooms include the Council Chamber, 3 large rooms in front of the Council Chamber (all of which can be opened into 1 large Function Room), as well as the 3 meeting rooms located on the walkway (south side of the Centre). Bookings can be made of all of the rooms or for individual rooms as required. A kitchenette for tea and coffee is available in each of the Function Meeting Rooms. Tea and Coffee and other refreshments can be made available if other function rooms are hired. Wyndham City Council will provide for any catering needs. Prices are subject to menu selections made by the hirer.
Any catering for external groups will only be managed and or provided by the Council’s in-house catering and functions staff. The Catering and Functions Team Leader will have the discretion to engage others or sub contract the service to meet the demands required. Hirers are not permitted to engage external caterers to use the facilities Community Function and Meeting Rooms are available day or evening, dependent on Council organised events and meetings booked. Bookings will not be taken on public holidays.
There are three community portable conference tables, an overhead projector, whiteboard and access to TV/data.
NB: TV/data comes at no additional cost for set up. If a staff member is required for AV assistance some costs may apply, particularly if the requirement is for after hours.
