The Community Grants Scheme allows not-for-profit community groups to apply for funding to help stage community events, run short-term programs, or purchase equipment that will benefit the Wyndham community. Applications involving physical improvements to buildings or grounds should be submitted to the Community Partnerships Program.
Under the program eligible groups can apply for grants of up to $10,000. Groups applying for more than $3,000 must provide a matching (dollar for dollar) contribution towards the project either in cash or in kind (such as volunteer labour, donated materials, or borrowed equipment). Projects applying for more than $5,000 must show significant community benefit. Unincorporated groups can apply for up to $1,000.

Closing Dates for the Scheme are as follows:
19th February 2008 (for projects between 1st Apr 08 & 30th Sep 08)
6th May 2008 (for projects between 1st Jul 08 & 31st Dec 08)
12th August 2008 (for projects between 1st Oct 08 & 31st Mar 09)
5th November 2008 (for projects between 1st Jan 09 & 30th Jun 09)
