The Economic Development Unit aims to stimulate new investment and employment within the municipality.
The Unit provides assistance and guidance to potential investors as well as existing businesses; organises special events such as the Wyndham Business Awards and Wyndham Water Wise and promotes Wyndham at every opportunity.

The Laverton North / Truganina industrial precinct employs some 10,000 people, the majority of them local residents.
