Nufarm Australia was named 2007 Business of the Year
NuFarm Australia is a manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of agricultural chemicals used primarily for broad acre application.
With its international headquarters located in Laverton North, NuFarm is the only manufacturer of crop protection products in Australia and has developed a reputation for manufacturing products to suit Australian climatic conditions.
NuFarm plays an important role in the economic prosperity of Wyndham. NuFarm employs over 400 people at its headquarters, most of whom are Wyndham residents, and has also constructed a new research and development facility - also in Laverton North - which further increases employment opportunities for residents.

For the past five years NuFarm has participated in the Federal Government ‘Greenhouse Challenge’, a voluntary scheme designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Under the scheme, NuFarm has implemented initiatives that have achieved significant water savings and improved the effluent recycling process within the manufacturing plant.
With close links to rural Australia, NuFarm has also taken an active role working with "Beyond Blue" in addressing the issue of depression in drought affected areas.
NuFarm Australia is also the winner of the Manufacturing - Large Category.
