Swimming Pools/Spas and Safety Barriers

New legislation came into force on 1 May, 2007 requiring owners of swimming pools and spas to install complying safety barriers.

Building Permits are required for all proposed safety barriers of pools and spas.

All pools and spas require safety barriers to be provided as part of the building permit where their depth exceeds 300mm.

Building Services offer a comprehensive inspection and advisory service to check compliance with the Regulations.
