Wyndham City Council has documented and demonstrated commitment to road safety and reducing casualty accidents within the municipality. One of the Key Result Areas in Wyndham Council’s Corporate Plan is “ to enhance the safety and perception of safety in Wyndham.”

One of the initiatives to achieve this result is to work with appropriate agencies and the community to enhance the safety of the municipality.

The Quality Community Plan “Our Vision of Wyndham in 2015” includes the Accident Rate per 1,000 population as a Key Performance Indicator to achieving the vision.
