Chief Executive Officer - Kerry Thompson

Ms Thompson commenced as Wyndham’s Chief Executive Officer on 12th July 2010. 

 

Ms Thompson brings a wealth of experience and first-hand knowledge of the issues affecting Melbourne’s West, having held the position of Maribyrnong City Council Chief Executive for the past seven years.

 

Ms Thompson is already familiar with the organisation having worked as Director, Financial and Community Services in 1995/96 before moving on to the City of Greater Geelong in 1996 as the General Manager, Business Performance. Ms Thompson then joined the City of Melbourne as the Director, City Assets and Services in 1999 before being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at the City of Maribyrnong in 2003.

 

In March 2009, Ms Thompson was seconded to advise the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority (VBRRA) following the Black Saturday Bushfires, at the request of the VBRRA and the Municipal Association of Victoria.

 

Ms Thompson is the current chair and founding member of the Western Transport Alliance and the Institute of Public Administration.
