Cr Kim McAliney, JP (Mayor)

Kim McAliney was re-elected in December 2008.  Kim was elected as Mayor in December 2011.

Councillor Kim McAliney lives in Hoppers Crossing with her teenage sons, Scott and James and her pet dogs Charlie and Bobby.

 

Cr McAliney loves being part of a growing vibrant community and is a passionate advocate for the ongoing development of Melbourne’s West, Road safety and Seniors in the community.

 

Cr McAliney is a FCPA qualified Accountant, Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, Justice of the Peace and a former General Manager of Retirement Living Communities in Victoria and NSW.

 

Prior to being elected to Wyndham City Council in 2005, Kim lobbied for improvements to Wyndham’s rural roads, before turning her attention to addressing issues with the wider road network, prompting her decision to run for Council in the rapidly developing Truganina Ward. Cr McAliney is currently serving her second term on Council and represented the City of Wyndham as Mayor in 2007/08 and Deputy Mayor 2009/10.
