Wyndham City's Open Space Strategy

What do you want Wyndham to look like in the future? Plenty of parks, playgrounds, walking tracks and bike trails? Then have your say on the Open Space Strategy.

 

Wyndham City is currently developing the Strategy to ensure parks, outdoor recreation and sports areas meet the needs of Wyndham residents both now and in the future.

 

The Strategy will help Wyndham City to:

• Acquire open space for sport, recreation and other functions;
• Acquire open space that is fit for its purpose;
• Assist in the strategic planning of public open space;
• Improve the quality, usefulness and accessibility of open space and promote higher levels of participation; and
• Map all existing and proposed / preferred future open space.

Wyndham City is keen to hear comments, feedback and suggestions from residents of all ages across the municipality as well as any groups who utilise Wyndham’s open space.

 

It is anticipated the final Strategy will be released in mid 2012.
